Lobsterfest Success Means Bigger Impact for Our Community!
Our recent Lobsterfest was such a tremendous success that our Rotary Club is thrilled to announce an increase in this year’s grants! Thanks to the generous support of our attendees, sponsors, and community, we were able to award $5,500 to each grant recipient, up from the originally planned $4,000!
This year’s grants will support the literacy efforts of the Boys & Girls Club and Senior Coastsiders.
These funds will help advance literacy in our community, including digital literacy projects at Senior Coastsiders, where members will receive support in building their digital skills.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make Lobsterfest such a success. Your generosity demonstrates the power of community partnership and allows our Rotary Club to make an even greater impact.
Thank you for helping us turn a great celebration into an even greater opportunity to serve!
Our Rotary Exchange Student Caroline Gossart came to Half Moon Bay for a visit with her long-time boyfriend Victor.
Thank you to Mary and Phil Rogren for arranging and hosting a special gathering at their home. And special thanks to the Rogrens as well as John and Larkin Evans for hosting Caroline and Victor for their visit.
Members of the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay recently had the opportunity to tour the Big Wave Project, where Julie Shenkman gave us a fascinating and inspiring grand tour of the new facilities.
Our Rotary Club was proud to host the annual Coastal Cleanup Day at Dunes Beach on September 19! Several Rotarians joined many enthusiastic volunteers from over the hill to help keep our beautiful coastline clean and protect our local environment.
