Annual meeting of Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay was called to order by President Dianne
Areas of Service reports were given along the lines of the District Awards Criteria. Status to date discussed – what we’ve accomplished and what we still need to do. Lots of good progress in many areas.
Storage container has been purchased and shelves put in it and it is now on the HMBHS property.
Treasurer Maya gave the financial report noting that we have a slight budget gap for our dictionary hand out.
President Elect Nominee (chosen by the Past Presidents group) Elizabeth Schuck was presented. No nominations from the floor and she was moved seconded and unanimously approved.
Directors as nominated by the Past Presidents group were named: Joe Brennan, Rosi Fontana and Dwight Wilson – moved seconded and unanimously approved.
Rotary meeting closed.
HMB Rotary Foundation meeting was called to order.
$13,000 in account, $132,000 in the endowment fund, $1700 will be added from Magic of the Coastside 2014. Ralph Ely and Robin Jeffs head the group with rest of the board.
Happy & Crappy news:
Steve Anderson had a wonderful family reunion in Florida, but his visit to the Turks and Caicos was cut short due to the passing of this father-in-law shortly after the reunion.
Tony Roehrick has 8 days to spend with his 17 month old grandson
Ralph Ely was bragging about his 3 week old grandson – Austin Martin Healey
Announcements:
Mitone Griffiths is drumming up sponsors for the Magic of the Coastside March 21, 2015 and urging all to get their checks in now!
John Evans – the must group playing would be available for a gospel service on Sunday
Service Above Self award forms will be on the Magic website soon – please get them out to all of your friends involved with non-profits.
Joe Brennan announced that the End polio Now Spaghetti dinner is looking for a few members to adopt an ingredient so that all proceeds will go to polio.
