GETTING READY FOR MAGIC OF THE COASTSIDE

President Barmore opened with a Giants Trivia Quiz…at which Tim Haller did very well!
MAGIC by Liz Schuck
- Raffle Tickets went on sale with an initial offering of six for $100, hereafter the regular price is $20 each.
- June 2nd is the date and it is a Summer Shrimp Boil Theme
- The dinner will be a Shrimp Boil by Goodrich Catering. Tables will have red and white table cloths with baskets of popcorn and/or peanuts
The price is $75 per person
The musical entertainment will be Dueling Pianos from Southern California, Dave Cresson will be putting them up at Zaballa House
Dianne Bobko will manage the Service Above Self Award, nominations due by April 22nd
Mary is preparing press releases and other marketing efforts
Brian Lee and Cathering Yaqui are working on the wines and beers for the bar
Jason identified a specialty drink to be featured
The idea of a dessert auction was discussed and the consensus was not this time
Dessert ideas were discussed, Haagen Das bars being a favorite
Kevin promoted ticket sales especially urging members to buy a table!
Mary Described the auction and urged members to donate more items suggesting experiences, sports and cultural event tickets, gift certificates etc. List of items secured to be emailed to members soon
Fund a Need will benefit:
Abundant Grace’s rainy day program and farmworkers projects
Coastside Children’s math support
Senior Coastside’s warmers for food delivery
It was proposed to poll donors to see if they would make a second donation for half price on popular items. So if a second person is willing to pay the winning bid price will the donor make a second donation if we chip in half the price or said anther way if a second person will go for the bid price the donor gets 50%…to be considered
