President Dianne has been traveling through China and assigned past president Mitone Griffiths to preside over today's meeting.

 

The meeting was called to order, the pledge was led by Teresa Adam and inspirational quote by Elizabeth Schuck to commemorate this somber day in history.

 

We had many guests today. It was great to see some returning Rotarians and guests.

 

Kendall Flint was our featured speaker on Thurs. Sept. 11, 2014 to answer questions about Connect the Coastside. James Hinkamp, Project Manager for the San Mateo County Planning and Building Department was also on hand to answer questions.

Connect the Coastside is a plan that evaluates the existing and future residential and non-residential development potential of the Midcoast and City of Half Moon Bay by conducting a land use build-out analysis and an assessment of the current and future transportation system.

 

The plan will recommend a process for managing growth to ensure that there is adequate multi-modal transportation facilities and services to maintain acceptable levels of service.
