Liz started a conversation about community service. One of the interesting factoids was that Rotary contributes 850 million dollars a year worldwide to community service projects. The big news is that the District offers a grant of $300 for to clubs for a community service project.

Liz led us through a process where we listed our past community service projects, our present projects and projects we would like to do in the future.

After serious discussion, It looks like the Little Libraries fits the District criteria and would be our choice for our District project. There was also considerable interest in the other projects and several already have owners. If you are interested in participating in any of these projects, contact Liz or the owner if listed.

One last item, Ralph saved some bread crumbs from last year’s Pumpkin Fest bread bowls froze them and made raspberry bread pudding. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a picture of the recipe. It was delicious, Ralph will share the recipe if you are interested.
