Announcements:
Spaghetti Feed to support EndPolioNow fundraising campaign
Joe Brennan announced the Spaghetti Feed to support the Polio Program is on Tuesday January 27, 2015 which will be at the Senior Center.  Suggested donation is $20, and he was asking for half of the $450 to have the dinner fully supported.  He received more than $225 to meet this goal from fellow Rotarians.  Money will be credited to the Foundation.  Joe encouraged us to let all of our friends know about the event so it can sell out.  All the money will go to the EndPolioNow fund.

New idea – French Fries at Dream Machines
Steve Anderson announced we are still short in raising money for the dictionaries we give to all third graders on the Coast.  He suggested we sell French Fries at the Dream Machine event on Sunday 4/26, and he asked if a Rotarian will be the Champion for looking into participating in the event.  New Rotarian, Andrew Boyd-Goodrich volunteered to be the Champion.  This will go a long way to making up the $1700 short fund we have to fund these dictionaries.

Airport Rides – still available
Members were reminded not to forget about asking for rides to the airport that several members have volunteer to provide, especially in the morning. A $50 donation is requested for this service and goes toward the dictionaries funding.

Foundation moment and Paul Harris presentation:  Kevin O’Brien acknowledged and presented Bonnie Dunham with a sapphire for her contributions to the Foundation.

Magic of the Coastside:  Dianne shared the music from the Blue Street Jazz Band that will be playing at the March 21st event.  Mitone shared with the group that her call out for sponsors last December was successful. By the end of the meeting she has received $7900 worth of sponsorships from the membership.  She encourages everyone to look at their advertising budget to become sponsors. We'd like to have at least $10,000 in sponsorships!

Service Above Self:  Dianne discussed the nomination process for this award that goes to any non-Rotarian who has made a significant contribution to the community.  This is the 4th year for this award.  She handed out the letter and nomination form and each table discussed possible nominations.  She encouraged Rotarian to reach out to non-profits they are affiliated with to provide nominations.  Deadline for these nominations is 2/6/15.  Please submit your nominations to Diane.

Dianne closed the meeting after Andrew drew a green marble.
